Obtaining Services for Community Clients

(Non-Gallaudet Students)

A small number of community clients are seen at the MHC through our training program.

Therapy Services :

Therapy services for community clients are provided to deaf or hard-of hearing individuals or families with deaf or hard of hearing family members.   To inquire about services, please contact the MHC phone (202) 651-6080 (TTY/V) or by email (mh.center@gallaudet.edu) to make an intake appointment.  There is no charge for the intake appointment.  An intake counselor will  assess your needs and discuss MHC services, fees, and recommendations, which may include a referral to services off-campus.

Assessment Services:

Advanced  psychology graduate students under the supervision of licensed psychologists provide assessment services for community clients. To initiate assessment services as a community client (deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing), please call the MHC at (202) 651-6080 (TTY/V) or send email to Assessment Psychologist.  A MHC representative will contact you to explain assessment services and discuss current availability.
