National Depression Screening Day
is a one-day outreach, education and screening
event held each year.
The purpose
of
National Depression Screening Day (NDSD)
is to raise public awareness about mood and
anxiety disorders. Both are common and often go
undetected even though there are many effective
treatments. NDSD offers students,
deaf or hard of hearing community member, and
staff/faculty the
opportunity to be screened for the disorders at no
cost. Those at-risk for mood and/or
anxiety disorders will be referred for treatment.
